I have a completely leak free experience using this, Best Period product buy ever !
After delivery I went through 2 cups. My previous goldilocks could no longer fit properly, and there are always leaks on my heaviest days. Tried another cup, didn't solve the issue. Finally went with Merula seeing as it has a different shape, is a lot firmer, and has much larger capacity than what I'm used to. Happy to report that it's been great! Insertion is fine, and I don't feel it at all once inside. There's still tiny bits of leak but nothing that a bit of toilet paper couldn't handle. I could go without a liner now, and could go on for an extra few hours before changing. Happy user!
Cup held much more than my previous cup, which was good. The rim of the cup itself was quite hard and it was a bit uncomfortable during insertion and removal. Overall, a recommended purchase.
I barely leaked when using the Merula XL. Previously I used the Lily Cup size A and Lunette small and frequently leaked, I'm guessing due to the position of my cervix. It's not really for first time users, the Merula XL does take some time to get used to. The first time I used it I ended up taking it out 3-4hours later as it pushed my cervix to the side and made my cramps worse. I tried it again my next cycle and managed to insert it properly and had no issues with it. I do somewhat feel inside me from the pressure of the really firm silicone but it's not too bad, I slept with it in just fine. Overall I really like it and I think I'll be using it mainly for when my flow is the heaviest.
Love the large capacity that last hours and overnight. Material is good and easy to open up.
