In the event of a material error or discrepancy, our sole liability is limited to correcting the error, cancelling the order, or issuing a replacement or refund for the affected item in accordance with Singapore law.

  • Pricing & Taxes: Prices stated on our Website are listed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of relevant local sales taxes (GST) where applicable, unless explicitly stated otherwise. You are responsible for any external currency conversion fees or cross-border transaction fees levied by your card issuer or banking institution.

5. Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy

  • Hygiene Exclusion: In accordance with health and hygiene standards, opened or used intimate products (including menstrual cups, period underwear, cloth pads, and wellness items) cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances, unless found to have a manufacturing defect upon arrival.

  • Unopened Returns & Reporting Timelines: Unopened items in original factory packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase (subject to admin fees and conditions detailed in our Shipping & Return Policy). Product defects or delivery damages must be reported to hello@theperiod.co with visual proof within 5 business days of delivery receipt.

6. Health Disclaimer & Product Use

Silicone & Material Safety

Menstrual cups offered by us are manufactured using healthcare-grade silicone or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and are latex-free. While healthcare-grade silicone is bio-compatible and hypoallergenic, individual skin sensitivities or allergies may occur.

Health Caution & Medical Disclaimer

  • Medical Advice: Information provided on our Website is for general informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. You should consult a qualified physician or dermatologist prior to using internal menstrual or intimate wellness products if you have pre-existing medical conditions, gynaecological concerns, or sensitivities.

  • Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS): Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare but serious condition associated with the use of internal menstrual hygiene products. You must carefully read, understand, and strictly follow the usage, cleaning, and sanitization instructions provided with each product. Discontinue use immediately and seek urgent medical attention if you experience symptoms of TSS or severe discomfort.

  • Proper Usage: You agree to use all Products strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's directions. Misuse (including forcibly pulling menstrual cup stems to break vacuum suction) voids any product warranty or claim.

7. Limitation of Liability

  1. Exclusion of Consequential Losses: To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, THE CURATED NEST PTE. LTD., its directors, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the purchase, use, or inability to use our Products or Services.

  2. Cap on Financial Liability: Save as expressly provided under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 or other non-excludable Singapore statutory rights, our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to any order shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by you for the specific Product or Service giving rise to the claim.

  3. Statutory Exceptions: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law (including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977).

Negotiation & Mediation

In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Products, or the Services, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter in good faith through direct negotiation by contacting hello@theperiod.co.

If the dispute cannot be resolved within 20 working days, the parties may agree to refer the dispute to mediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) in accordance with the SMC Mediation Procedure before initiating formal legal proceedings.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Subject to the dispute resolution procedures above, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
